Big Woo
Funny, what you get sometimes with typos. In trying to write up the project specs for a recent FO, I inadvertently came up with a name for it which I like quite a bit.
I give you Big Woo:
I picked up a couple of balls of Rowan's Big Wool Tuft in the UK, and knew from the git-go they were destined to be a tube-y scarf-y thing. OK, call it a cowl if you must. All in all, it took about an hour and a half to knit (not counting pulling all those little tufty bits over to the right side with a crochet hook) on size 19s, and it's perfect for snuzzling into while braving our recent nose-tweaking single digit temperatures. I used the ChicKnits pattern as a starting point, but ended up throwing in a 4-stitch increase row about halfway up, to give it more of a face-framing shape.
Christmas was nice. Michelle and Jackie made some merry with us on the Eve, Saturday was fairly quiet, and Sunday was a whirlwind of knitting so that I could give the husband his damn scarf, already.
And a modeling shot; which I REALLY wasn't expecting to get, since he enjoys having his picture taken almost as much as I do.
Meanwhile, the Martian grooved to the holiday tunes.

Thank you for my fluffy purple flower. It just came today. If I can get it back from my younger son I will enjoy it a lot.

I cast on today for a cowl in super-chunky Natural Fleece. Great minds, they say....

BIG WOO looks so cozy and warm and inviting. Like you could curl up with it and take a nap. Maybe thats just me...
Did the husband like the 'damn scarf, already'? He looks good in it, anyway.
