Would you believe, another variation on the OSW?

As a knitter, I'm nothing if not consistent. I know what works for me. I know what I wear.

Variations this time: 3/4-length sleeves with a wavy cable pattern that resembles nothing so much as gigundo arm veins. Which I kinda already have. Why I didn't notice this until the second sleeve was finished, I have no idea.

Yarn was from School Products, a brandless blend of cotton and cashmere. Perhaps a mite too warm for right now, but it'll be just perfect come the cooler fall days.

The Doctor Is In

Horror movies are big right now. Have you noticed? I can think of at least a half-dozen new zombie flicks (including that one about killer sheep) and there are a disturbing number of slasher/torture films kicking around, but there ain't nothing out there scarier than Michael Moore's look at HMOs and the American healthcare system. It's appalling, enraging, terrifying and shameful. And it's about time we all realized that we deserve better.
